Review: Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser

Lately I've been getting a few lumps and bumps again because I ran out of my Dermalogica one and haven't had the chance to get it again yet. So I've been trying a few different cleansers ever since the winter holidays and one being this Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser. The scent is absolutely amazing, it smells like actual grapefruit, very fresh and clean. This also removes quite a bit of makeup, the only thing that it can't completely remove is waterproof mascara (however, this is a cleanser so I would not depend on this as my makeup remover). The cleanser contains Salicylic Acid but I wouldn't say that this is a miracle worker for keeping away and getting rid of acne completely, but to some good extent it works to control and help your acne spots and your face feels really clean afterwards. It also claims to get rid of blackheads but no, nothing really helps blackheads in general. The main downfall of this however, is over drying. For a person like me with combination-oily skin to say it's drying....means this really does dry out your skin. I definitely wouldn't recommend using this daily and whenever you do use it, you must remember to moisturize your face afterwards. Otherwise, this is a pretty decent drugstore cleanser :)

  1. I was thinking of trying this out as I love pink grapefruit scented things and it's good that it contains Salicylic Acid. But that's too bad that it's quite drying!

  2. yeaah, it's a shame cause I like everything else about this cleanser! I guess moisturizer shall suffice the drying effect but i can't imagine those with dry skin.
