Sparkles in the Sky

I'm loving Revlon polishes more and more now. Whimsical has quickly become one of my favourite glitter polishes. I just love how the colour combination and the varying sizes go together so well. As for Blue Lagoon, I'd describe it as a perfect sky blue colour - the silver micro-shimmers are absolutely gorgeous! The only complaint is that it's a bit streaky (so you need 3 layers) and can give you some air bubbles (fortunately it's not too noticeable due to the colour and the silver shimmers camouflaging it). I am currently looking for burgundy, plum or wine nail polish colours for fall, does anyone have recommendations? :P

  1. It looks so pretty! I so wish we had Whimsical here! Though that is not what I'd pictured Whimsical to look like in the bottle! Anyhow, such adorable polishes. :)

    1. It may just be my crappy camera not being able to show its true appearance and I only have on one coat of Whimsical lol. I hope you'll be able to get it soon - it's such a cute must-have glitter polish!! :)

  7. Love the combo.
Whimsical is pretty, but you have to do like 4 coats to wear it alone, right?

    1. Yea, it needs at least 4 coats to build up the opacity but it's a really nice colour so I guess all the hard work is worth it haha :P

  9. Funny I also posted this combo without having read your post first! :) I have these very 2 nail polishes on my desk right now. I think Blue Lagoon is quite streaky, but it's so pretty. And Whimsical is fast becoming one of my fav glitters! :D

  10. My current fave deep burgandy nail polishes are Port from American Apparel and also a really old one from the gap that somehow has not gone sticky or crusty. The pefect colour for fall indeed! Oh! And i know that OPI also makes a good one. Hope you find one that takes your heart!

  11. Wow, love the layering of these two, they were meant to go together! That's too bad I haven't seen these glitter polishes from revlon here yet! I get most of my polishes from Essence, Thefaceshop, skin food, etude house and sally hansen. I think sally hansen has awesome dark colors, I've got an almost black green and purple from them!

    1. Hope you'll see them soon, I'm really impressed my Revlon's glitter polishes, they're so good! I think I'll go check out some sally hansen colours, I don't have access to etude or skin food I've always wanted to try out their products though. :)

  12. Try Essie's Wicked! I have them on my nails right now and I really like them! It's a deep wine red with one layer but with a second layer, it's turns into a very unique dark brown/black colour under artificial light and a pretty red/brown under sunlight! Google it up! It's great for fall!! =D
