Neon Glamour
Since neon colours are such a huge hit this summer, I decided to get in the mode as well with Essie's Tart Deco on my nails. This is probably not even considered neon, but it's still a lot brighter than it looks and I think this is as close as I'll get in terms of "neon" :P haha. When I first got Tart Deco, I was expecting a cute (toned down) coral colour but on the nails it's actually a bright orange. I was quite disappointed because it looked different from the bottle, but this gradually grew on me and now it's my summer go-to nail colour regardless of the neon/bright colour trend or not. It makes my hand look more tanned which speaks perfect summer to me. And this time, with Deborah Lippmann's Boom Boom Pow as an accent colour - my nails are screaming summer beach parties or something haha.

i love the colour of the nail varnish ^_^ i love glittery varnishes but they seem to chip off too easily for me :(
ReplyDeleteglad you like it ^o^ oh really?! That's weird, cause I find that glitters actually last longer on my nails than regular ones since they're harder to take off :O
DeleteThe same thing always happens to me too! I fall in love with a polish and it just looks totally different on my fingers. :) Glad it's making a comeback for you this Summer though (it's coming up to Winter in Australia)! xx

DeleteBeautiful combination! I really like the opacity of essie nail polishes ever since I brought my first ones last week and tested it out. Definitely going to purchase some more later on. The glitter accent goes very well with the orange neon coral tone. Gold just matches just about everything, haha. On the search for a dupe of that Deborah Lippmann's Boom Boom Pow. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I like the colour ranges that Essie offers the most out of all nail polish brands. Not that the other ones aren't good - but I find myself gravitating towards there shades the most often :P I think Boom Boom Pow isn't really difficult to find a dupe for cause it's just gold glitter with a transparent yellow base. I actually found one in my small nail polish collection already! But it's from a japanese brand (Beauty World) that came in a trio of small nail polishes for a ombre manicure. :P

Prreeetttyyyy. I do remember you saying that you were initially a bit disappointed that the Essie wasn't as pastel as you'd hoped. But bright orange is really fun and perfect for summer anyway :) Love the gold accent nail, I need me some Deborah Lippmann nail polish in my life.
