Review: Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle

Hello Everyone! I'm not even sure where to begin with this as it's been a really long time. I've been on and off thinking about getting back into blogging! The desire to have good quality posts and knowing that I would like to maintain better consistency has made me put this off for even longer as I stress and overthink things haha. Lots of nostalgia as I scroll through all my old posts and it makes me want to share my never dying passion for makeup and fashion. So as I go with Nike's slogan "Just do it". Here is my come back post with my thoughts on the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle!

I'm not usually a cream product kind of person but I definitely gravitated towards these after seeing some of my favourite youtubers hype over them and seeing the swatches. It was hard to just settle on one or two products (my inner crazy came out..) because some of the colours were quite unique (I'm looking at you Drama Cla$$) and other colours were just right up my alley (hey there Petal Poppin).

Product overview

Overall, I really like every shade that I've picked up. The hype definitely did not disappoint, although I know a lot of people are not keen on the size of the blushes as they are a bit small. Personally, I don't mind the size as I honestly doubt I will finish any of these and the quality of these blushes are good which makes them worth the price in my opinion! Macchiato looks amazing on the skin - definitely a great match for light to medium skin tones as indicated from the product description.

Total score: 9/10

Left to Right: Petal Poppin; Macchiato; Drama Cla$$; Bikini Martini

Breakdown

Application: The bronzer and blushes are all creamy, easily blendable and buildable on the skin.

Colour: Macchiato is a natural warm light to medium brown. When applied on the cheeks, it's not overly pigmented and sheers out on the skin a little bit. This allows more wiggle room to build up the colour on the skin for a nice natural finish. Petal Poppin is a pretty soft medium toned pink blush. I really love this shade as gives the cheeks a nice natural glow as well. It's great for the every day kind of makeup look! Bikini Martini is a bubble gum cool toned pink. Although it has a cool tone, it surprisingly still compliments well on my Asian yellow undertoned skin. Drama Cla$$ is a light purple. It doesn't go on as daunting as it looks in the pan. Like all other shades, it sheers out onto the skin and is wearable.

Coverage: As mentioned before, all of these shades apply semi-sheer which allows you to build the colour on the skin in layers beautifully.

Longevity: All of the shades that I have picked up lasts approximately 8-9 hours.

Texture: smooth, light weight, and creamy!

Packaging: Very sleek hexagonal white (blushes) or reflective gold (bronzers) compact with a mirror in each product :)

Price: $26 CAD (blushes) and $42 CAD (bronzers)

Quantity: 6.23 g (bronzer) and 3 g (blushes)

Bikini Martini, Drama Cla$$, Petal Poppin, (forgot to swatch Macchiato sorry!)

Would repurchase: 100% yes! I would definitely repurchase. I really love the colours and how user friendly it is to apply the product onto the skin. The one other blush that I've been eyeing to pick up when it's back in stock is Fuego Flush - it's a gorgeous tangerine shade with some shimmer. I think this colour would be perfect for the summer!

Final words: I really like these blushes and bronzer as they are very easy to apply and they seem to compliment a wide range of skin tones. There's definitely a colour for everyone!

Have any of you also jumped on the bandwagon and tried these blushes and bronzers? Let me know what you guys think of these cream products!
