Clutter No More!
Changing up my storage system has been something I've wanted to do for a really long time, but I could never find anything that sparked my decisiveness as an immediate must-buy until seeing this Muji 5-drawer acrylic storage online. Yes, it's plastic but it's made out of acrylic - so the case is heavily weighted and not cheap looking. I also like how the transparency makes your collection look sleek and classy. At first I couldn't get used to only being able to store products individually without stacking them to increase the amount of storage, but now I love how I can just see and grab everything all at once. The only problem left, is figuring out how I should store the remaining products that can't fit into the Muji drawer.
Top to Bottom: false lashes, high end eyeshadows and eye primers, drugstore eyeshadows, blushes and lip products.

P.S although the makeup shown in the photos above is the majority of my collection it does not include everything I have, the rest of my stuff are in the drawers of my desk. I admit, I have a unhealthy appetite for makeup LOL :$

i was actually looking at the clear drawers today but i thought they were a little too long lengthwise, so I didn't get it :(
I realized having a nice storage organizer for makeup is so hard. haha I know exactly how you feel, it takes time to find the perfect one but you'll find one eventually :) Good luck!
DeletePerfect! I've been looking for a new way to store my make-up since I've been storing everything in my train case but it's so inconvenient and time consuming to look for things in the morning. Going to order these now hehe thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is precisely why I love the Muji drawers cause I don't have to look for anything! Everything is nicely laid out and I can grab what I want right away. I'm glad this post helped and do show me your Muji after you have it organized! I want to seeee!! :D

DeleteI was just about to comment that if that's everything, that is NOTHING lol :p But I'm comforted somewhat to hear there's more in the drawers ;) I really wish Muji were available to ship to Australia. Their storage is beautiful and affordable. I love how you've organised everything - it's so nice to have a concentration of items in one place :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha yeap, and having "left over" makeup that won't fit into the Muji makes me want to buy more so that everything looks more put together LOL Perfect excuse. I remembered you getting a nice organizer from a stationary shop a while back that was some what similar to this - I thought that that was good? Or have you accumulated a load more and need an extra organizer? hahaha

DeleteGuilty as charged. Stuff has now spilled over to my desk, especially nail polish. I really need specific storage for my nail polish because it really shouldn't be placed with other makeup ;)
lol oh nos! Definitely not a good idea to mix makeup and nail polish haha :P I keep mine in the big bottom drawer of a plastic storage drawer that looks like the one in the link. I think these are perfect for nail polish and makeup storage in general. I hope this might've sparked some ideas for you! :)

I *need* that storage unit! Or something similar - perhaps a touch less wide, because I have the perfect spot for a set of transparent drawers like it in my room. Then I'd have lots more space for makeup :D (Not that that should be encouraged hehe)
DeleteI'm sure there are a lot of variety of these drawers since they are pretty cheap and versatile. Hahah, oh well...some things just can't be helped ;)

DeleteAt first, I thought that the drawers couldn't fit that many products into it until you showed it with the drawers opened, which seems to be a fairly decent amount. It looks really nice! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for new organizers to store my make up in. My make up is pretty organized as of how I have it now, but I just have a different plan as my make up collection grows bigger, haha.
Yeap it's a pretty good size for makeup! But I still need to re-adjust a few things since it is a pretty big change to how I usually store my makeup. I guess that's how it goes, as it gets bigger we need new plans for it hehe :)
Deletevery cute storage. I have the same muji drawers and my number one pet peeve is that it can't even fit a mac paint pot or fluid line. And it really doesn't have that much storage space, but I just had to have it anyway because I'm obsessed with acrylic. I use cylinder glasses to store my brushes, I just posted pics on my blog if you want to see how it looks in conjunction with the muji drawers :)
ReplyDeleteohmygod yes!!! I can't believe I forgot about that point! The only downside to this Muji drawer is that it's too narrow to store thicker products like the creme eyeshadow pots and stuff similar to it. Oooo cylinder glasses sound really nice! I'll definitely come check out your makeup storage!! :D
