Holiday & Party Series: Gunmetal Glam

The anticipated holiday season is coming up soon so I decided to start another series, which by title as you can tell...is dedicated to the christmas holidays! :) hehe. The gold glitter liner in this look was inspired by Lauren Luke's (aka panacea81) Christmas Party Make Up Look Collab video, I didn't actually try to mimic her look because I know i needed some modifications to suit my own eye shape and I came up with something similar-ish. haha I hope you guys like this! :)

Step 1: apply an eyeshadow primer all over the lids and lower lash line, then apply "gunmetal" (dark gray shimmery) eyeshadow all over the eyelids

Step 2: using a blending brush dab the tip of the brush into "buck" and place this warm matte brown shade on the eye socket/above "gunmetal" to blend out the harsh edges

Step 3: using the same brush, take a little bit of "smog" and blend over "buck" to create and add more metallic-ness to the look

Step 4: with a large flat shader brush blend out the brown eyeshadow with the highlight color "virgin" (pale light shimmery pink eyeshadow)

Step 5: dip a smudger brush into "creep" (sparkly black eyeshadow) and smoke it out on the outer half of the lower lash line

Step 6: then dip the smudger brush into "smog" (copper brown metallic e/s) and smudge it into the rest of the lower lash line

Step 7: to brighten up the eyes a little, take a bit of "half baked" (shimmery yellow gold e/s) and place it in the tear duct/inner corner area of the eyes. After finishing with the eyeshadows, use a black liquid eyeliner to line your upper lash line and wing it out, curl your lashes, apply mascara and then apply false eyelashes.

**Note: for this look I would suggest false lashes that are not too full or dramatic  because it would take away the gold glitter eyeliner and even cover it (at least for my monolid asian eye shape). In this look the intended focus is the gold glitter, so I have on some natural crosshair falsies. :)

Step 8: using an angled brush directly squeeze a tiny amount of the glitter adhesive/primer on the brush and draw it onto the eyes as if you were lining your eyes with an eyeliner and distribute evenly. Remember NOT to apply all over the lids because you want to LINE your eyes with gold glitter, if you apply all over...the glitter will stick all over the eyelid instead of being a concentrated line. If you have a gold glitter liner then go ahead and use that to line your eyes instead (i don't own any...so I have to use this method).

Step 9:  dip the angled brush into the gold glitter and gently pack over the glitter primer - pack it on so there will be less fallout on your face (skip this step if you used a glitter liner)

Step 10: Redefine your wing so that it makes the gold liner more defined and sharper

Step 11: take a black pencil eyeliner and line your water line

And now you're finished!! :D
